Karen's 5 Stars is a site of five-star reviews written by Karens. This page says what the site keeps about you and how to have it removed.
Reading the site
You can read and search every review without an account. We do not ask who you are.
Signing in to post a review
To post a review you sign in with Google. Google tells us your name, your email address and an account number that identifies you to this site. We never see your Google password, and we cannot post anything to your Google account.
We check the first name on your account against a list of spellings of Karen. If it is on the list, we create an account for you here and keep your name, your email address and that account number. If it is not, we create no account and keep nothing.
If Karen invites you
Karen can invite people to write reviews by email. We keep the email address she gives us and, if you join, the first name you choose. To sign in again later we email you a link that works once, for 15 minutes. These emails are sent for us by Mailgun. If you do not join, the invitation stops working after 14 days.
What other people see
Your review and your first name. Your surname and your email address are never shown.
Cookies and adverts
Signing in sets a cookie so the site remembers you. The reading-size buttons remember your choice in your browser.
The site shows adverts, placed by Advally and its advertising partners, including Google. Those partners may use cookies or similar technology to choose and measure adverts. Where the law requires it, you are asked for your consent first.
Removing your account or a review
Write to us and we will delete your account, and any of your reviews you name.
